As a Medical Laboratory Technologist with Gamma-Dynacare Medical Laboratories,
Doug has over 10 years experience in the field of Microbiology/Parasitology. During
his career Doug has taught courses in Microbiology/Parasitology and Laboratory Safety
for the "Health Care Vocational Center" as well as participated in the I.A.P.A's
(Industrial Accident Prevention Association) Networking Group. Since 1992 Doug has
been
a Certified Member of Gamma-Dynacare's Joint Occupational Health and Safety
Committee. He is currently registered with the College of Medical Laboratory
Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
Doug has graciously contributed the section on "Laboratory Safety".
Peter Kornherr, B.Sc., M.L.T.
Gamma-Dynacare Medical Laboratories,
Ottawa, Ontario
With 18 years experience, Peter has a proven track record in the field
of microbiology/bacteriology. A former Robert G. Armstrong Award winner, Peter is
often called upon by colleagues to opine on many subjects. He is always willing
to help and with no exception in this case, Peter is currently working with colleagues on an artical
to aid in the laboratory diagnosis of Bacterial Vaginosis. He is also affiliated with "The Lap Band"
contributing the introduction music, "A la Mode" on the CD version of this website.
Peter is a member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
and the Ontario Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists (OSMT).
Brigitte Lord, M.L.T.

As a Technologist in the field of Histopathology with more than 13 years experience,
Brigitte is experienced in all aspects of sectioning and staining of tissue associated
with Histopathology and Diagnostic Parasitology. She is a member of the College of Medical
Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO), the Ontario Society of Medical Laboratory
Technologists (OSMT), and the Canadian Society For Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
Brigitte kindly submitted the section on "Histopathology of Diagnostic Parasitology".
King Wan Wu, Entomology Research Technician

King has worked for the federal government for a total of 32 years and as a Research Technician
in the field of arachnology for the past 30 years. Mr. Wu's area of expertise is Ticks
and Mites. He has been very helpful in sharing his knowledge with the author in preparation for this
project and with Gamma-Dynacare Medical Laboratories in Ottawa. The author is grateful for Mr. Wu's
